A new colorimetric method for the determination of trace amount of boron with ethyl Rhodamine B as a chromogenic agent is studied.The elimination of the interference of tantalum and diverse ions are described .Beer's law holds for the range of 0-6 ug B/10 ml. The recoveries obtained by the addition of known amount of boron are nearly 100%
