When submitting the paper, the author must declare that the paper is exclusively published in Acta Petrologica et Mineralogica and has not been officially published in other journals, monographs and conference proceedings at home and abroad, and guarantee that the paper is the original work of the authors (or the project team), and do not submit more than one manuscript. All incoming manuscripts will be reviewed on the network, if the text repetition rate is too high or the submission of more than one manuscript, it will be rejected.
1 Submission process
Please log in to our Website (https://www.yskw.ac.cn/yskwxzzen/author/login) and select “Author Login” for submission. For the first submission, please register first and then upload the manuscript step by step according to the prompts on the website. After submission, the author can log in the website at any time to check the processing of manuscript. The editorial department will give feedback on the review opinions within 3 months. If it has not received the opinion of primary review within 3 months, the author can inform the journal to withdraw the manuscript and change to other journal. It is suggested that the author should recommend 1 or 2 reviewers when submitting the paper, but should pay attention to avoid the experts of the research unit and the project team. A manuscript shall pass the preliminary review, the peer-review and final review, and only after passing all can they be accepted. Generally, the publication cycle is 6-8 months.
2 Manuscript requirement
(1) It is required to have clear arguments, reliable arguments, accurate data, clear writing and concise text. It is required to have complete title, author signature, abstract, keywords and fund project information in both Chinese and English.
(2) The abstract of a paper with the nature of a special research should be a reporting abstract, including four parts of the research purpose, methods, results and conclusions. The Chinese abstract should be about 400 words, while the English abstract should be appropriately detailed and innovative. Abstracts of review and review papers should be indicative abstracts, which only outline the theme of the work and the results achieved.
(3) The introduction should be concise and comprehensive. Firstly, it objectively introduces the research status of relevant fields, then points out the existing deficiencies, and then leads to the key scientific problems to be solved in this paper, and explains the specific work done to solve the scientific problems, and finally explains the value or significance of the work in this paper.
(4) The test data involved in the article should be accurately provided, and the test data should indicate the tester, test method, test instrument, experimental conditions, accuracy and error range, etc. The accuracy of the same type of test data should be unified.
(5) The manuscript requires the use of national legal units of measurement. The case and italics of foreign letters and symbols, as well as the upper and lower corner marks of numbers, letters and symbols which are easy to be confused should be indicated separately. Use accurate punctuation.
(6) The paper title should not exceed 20 Chinese characters. If it is too long, subtitle is recommended. Headings of all levels are 1, 2, 3... ; 1.1, 1.2, 1.3......; Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3......; and Table 1, Table 2, Table 3.......
(7) Only the necessary charts should be attached. The table should be a three-line table, and the title, note and table name should be provided in both Chinese and English. After receiving the acceptance notice, in addition to the Word document of the text, the author shall provide separate electronic documents of all the images for typesetting. JPG format of the photos shall be required, which shall be clear, well organized and with high precision. Other line drawings can be drawn with Coreldraw, Excel or Origin software. If it is drawn by Origin software, please save it as WMF format.
(8) References to others should be marked in the text and listed at the end of the text. Authors are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the cited literatures. References in this journal are marked with (authors, year), and all Chinese references need to be translated into English.
(9) Article signature should be objective, the author who is the actual contribution to the content of the article can be responsible for a part of the content. The first and corresponding authors should be accompanied by a brief introduction of the author (name, gender, ethnicity, year of birth, degree, title, profession and contact information).
3 Website and digital publishing
Acta Petrologica et Mineralogica is an open access journal. All articles published by Acta Petrologica et Mineralogica are immediately available for open access at the website (https://www.yskw.ac.cn/yskwxzzen/home).
4 Copyright and transfer
After acceptance of the paper, the author shall sign a “Paper Licensing Agreement” with the Journal, and transfer the exclusive right to use the copyright of the paper to Acta Petrologica et Mineralogica. The Journal has the right to allow third parties to share the paper data, and may also be used for other academic purposes. 5 Author fees
There is no review fee, but if the manuscript is accepted, the author will be required for the layout fee. Black and white printing for RMB 200 yuan/page, color printing for RMB 900 yuan/page, author fee’ limit is RMB 15000 yuan. After the manuscript is accepted and published, the author will be paid as the payment standard: 80 yuan/page.
