A rapid and sensitive method for determination of small amounts of cyan- ide in karst water by gas chromatography was studied. In acidic medium, CN- could be converted into CNBr with bromine, and extracted with benzene. The benzene extract was introduced through the chromatographic column and a fine peak was obtained.
