    岩石学和矿物学是地球科学的重要分支学科,相关研究能够深入了解行星形成演化、宜居地球的资源富集与环境变化等重要科学问题。《岩石矿物学杂志》是国内岩石和矿物学领域的重要期刊,对其发表文章的深入挖掘有助于梳理学科研究进展,为学科从业人员深入研究提供背景信息,为该刊未来刊文方向提供借鉴参考。本文采用大数据分析、机器学习和可视化技术对《岩石矿物学杂志》1982~2022年发表的文献进行计量化研究。研究发现,岩石学和矿物学一直是该刊的主要发文热点,“地球化学、花岗岩、锆石U-Pb定年、吸附和矿物学”是热点关键词。其中,“地球化学”的共现强度最高,与花岗岩、岩石成因、火山岩和岩石学等关键词关系密切;其次是晶胞参数,相关关键词有光学性质、粉晶数据和新矿物等。具体研究内容包括4个不同主题,如变质矿物形成与新矿物发现、矿床特征与成矿机理、火山岩成因与表生过程以及岩石成因与构造背景等。未来刊文鼓励新技术新方法的开发与应用、多科学交叉研究、大数据和机器学习驱动的新范式研究等。

    Abstract:

    Petrology and mineralogy are important branches of Earth science, and related research can provide in-depth understanding of important scientific issues such as planetary formation and evolution, resource enrichment and environmental changes on habitable Earth. Journal of Petrology and Mineralogy is an important domestic journal in the field of petrology and mineralogy. In-depth exploration of the articles published in the journal helps to sort out research progress and provide background information for discipline practitioners to conduct further research. This can also provide reference for the journal’s future direction of publication. This paper conducts quantitative research on the literature published in the Journal of Petrology and Mineralogy from 1982 to 2022 using big data analysis, machine learning, and visualization technologies. The research found that petrology and mineralogy have always been the main focus of the journal, and “geochemistry, granite, zircon U-Pb dating, adsorption, and mineralogy” are hot Keywords. Among them, “geochemistry” has the highest co-occurrence intensity, closely related to Keywordssuch as granite, rock genesis, volcanic rocks, and petrology; followed by lattice parameters, with relevant Keywordssuch as optical properties, powder diffraction data, and new minerals. The specific research topics include four different themes, such as metamorphic mineral formation and new mineral discoveries, characteristics of mineral deposits and ore-forming mechanisms, volcanic rock genesis, surface processes, and rock genesis and tectonic background. Future publications encourage the development and application of new technologies and methods, interdisciplinary research, and new paradigm research driven by big data and machine learning.
