As a very special way in jadeite trade, gambling-jadeite has become a great challenge to the jadeite trade and a study item for its particularity. Enticed by the highest profit, some unscrupulous merchants have used all kinds of false means, especially the filling treatment which can hardly be seen through. The authors tested a piece of fake gambling-jadeite by means of gem-microscopy, ultraviolet fluorescence, and infrared spectrometers. The difference between the fake gambling-jadeite and the nature jadeite can help us to uncover the truth.
